Leo Members visiting Orphanage.
Recently, the Leo Club members of our school visited the
Good Samaritan Home
that is located at Southern Park. Leo
Lee Aiyee was the Organizing Chairperson while
Chia Peck Yun was the Vice- Organizing Chairperson.
About 15 of us showed up on that day. As we walked into the home ,
the kids looked excited and happy as they saw us bringing tidbits along.
We got to know that the home owned about 20
orphans which their ages are from 2 to 18 years old.
We started off our activities with the orphans by introducing
ourselves and they dis the same too.
The Leo members then chose their own partner
among the kids so that we could guide and get along with the kids throughout
the day.
We played some games with the kids and they were really happy.
Some of the Leo members even dance and sang song together with the kids.
Around 12pm, the catering food that we ordered came and we ate.
After finished our food,
we sat down together and we share story among each other.
The owner of the home was glad with our visit and thanks us.
Some of the Leo members parents donated a sum of money to the orphanage.
As the Leo members of the school, we were given a cheque
by our Leo Advisor to be given to the orphanage as we serve for the community.
We contributed some candies to the kids as we walked out of the gate.
Good Samaritan Home taught us lessons that we should be thankful
for what God had given me .
Our Leo Club members thinking of organising this type
of meaningful visit again.
